The Secretariat reports to the Berlin Process Summit on Energy Security and Green Transition

Yesterday, at the tenth Berlin Process Leaders’ Summit in Tirana, Energy Community Secretariat Director, Artur Lorkowski, presented a comprehensive report on the implementation of the Declaration on Energy Security and Green Transition in the Western Balkans. This significant document, signed by the Western Balkans Six leaders on 3 November 2022, highlights the region's journey towards sustainable energy policies and a greener future. 

While the report acknowledges the progress made, it also highlights the challenges that persist in the Western Balkans, including energy sector vulnerabilities, governance issues, and the imperative need for reforms. 

In his presentation, Director Lorkowski stressed the critical role of swift and efficient implementation of the Electricity Integration Package adopted in December 2022 and the necessity of enhanced regional cooperation.
