Secretariat releases 2023 Environmental Statement following EMAS re-certification

3 November 2023

The Secretariat’s commitment to environmental domain has been officially recognized with the re-certification of its environmental management system. Following a successful external audit earlier this year, the Austrian Ministry of Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology officially extended the Secretariat's EMAS certification on 25 October 2023.

The external EMAS audit centered on the Secretariat’s Environmental Statement outlining the 2022-2023 programme that translated the set environmental targets into actions. The 2023 Statement presents the Secretariat’s environmental performance based on key performance indicators in the areas of emissions, energy and material efficiency and waste management. To underline the continuous improvement principle, the Statement also provides an outlook of the activities in the pipeline.

For more information about the Secretariat’s environmental management system visit the dedicated EMAS-section. If you have any questions or are interested in learning more about our specific environmental initiatives or obtaining a similar certification for your organization, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
