The overall objective is to support the green transition, enhance decarbonisation, strengthen energy security, and improve climate resilience in the Eastern Partner countries.
Timeline and budget- TIMELINE: The project will run from June 2025 to December 2026.
- BUDGET: The Secretariat will manage and implement the project through a dedicated unit assigned specifically for this purpose, operating with a budget of EUR EUR EUR 458.670.
BeneficiariesThe beneficiary countries of the EU4ClimateResilience project are
- Moldova,
- Ukraine, and
- Armenia.
Target groupsKey stakeholders include:
- Executive and technical staff in ministries and public agencies responsible for implementing the Paris Agreement and aligning national frameworks with the EU climate acquis or Association Agreement requirements.
- Civil society organizations, NGOs, and private sector stakeholders may also benefit from project activities.
ScopeThe project will deliver the following outcomes:
- Strengthen technical, institutional, and administrative capacity in energy and environment ministries, agencies, and market participants.
- Conduct analyses on the transposition of monitoring, reporting, verification, and accreditation (MRVA) legislation, identifying existing gaps and providing recommendations for implementation.
- Support Ukraine in drafting legislation, analytical papers, and technical documents to advance alignment with the EU MRVA/ETS acquis.
