Energy Community Secretariat opens vacancy for Procurement and Contracting Assistant
The Energy Community Secretariat has opened a vacancy for a Procurement and Contracting Assistant, based in Vienna, Austria, with an expected start date in December 2026.
Working under the supervision of the Procurement and Contracting Expert, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day management of the Secretariat’s supply contract portfolio. Responsibilities will include supporting communication with suppliers and external stakeholders, preparing draft contractual amendments and supplemental agreements, maintaining contract records and documentation, and assisting with issues arising during contract implementation.
The position will also contribute to procurement-related reporting, audits and internal control and compliance processes, as well as tracking project implementation resulting from supply contract execution.
Applicants should hold a university degree in economics, business, public administration, management, supply chain management, procurement, law or a related field, and have at least two years of relevant professional experience. Excellent command of English, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication and drafting skills are required. Experience in procurement or contracting, particularly in an international organisation or public institution, is an advantage. Knowledge of Ukrainian is also considered an asset.
