Netherlands joins the Ukraine Energy Support Fund donor community by contributing EUR 65 million
The Government of the Netherlands contributed a total of EUR 65 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund (the Fund), a central financial mechanism for energy resilience and reconstruction in Ukraine administered by the Energy Community Secretariat.
“With its generous contribution to the Fund, the Netherlands joins a dedicated donor community committed to keeping Ukraine’s energy sector operational despite Russian attacks. The Fund will procure and deliver vital equipment, and we urge others to stand with Ukraine and support this critical effort.” said Artur Lorkowski, Director of the Energy Community Secretariat.
Thanks to donations from over 30 donors, the Fund has mobilised EUR 1,150 million helping restore infrastructure for 56 energy companies across 21 regions since 2022 when it was established.
