Title: Engineering Work

Inspiration and background:
I was drawn to energy engineering by the opportunity to turn technical knowledge into systems people rely on every day. I wanted to solve practical problems and help people use electricity more efficiently. Founding D Power Engineering allowed me to pursue that purpose through projects I can follow from design to implementation.
I see the main challenge for women in energy as creating opportunities for women to gain practical experience and build lasting careers in energy. Mentoring, professional networks and clear paths to leadership can support their development at every stage. Working arrangements that accommodate family responsibilities are also important. Recognising women’s contributions and encouraging their professional growth can strengthen the sector as a whole.

Short biography:
I am an electrical power engineer, entrepreneur and founder of D Power Engineering in Kosovo, with more than ten years of experience in the energy sector. I hold a master’s degree in power systems engineering and am a licensed energy auditor for buildings and public lighting.
My work covers the design, implementation and supervision of medium- and low-voltage installations, substations, industrial electrical systems and photovoltaic projects. Alongside my technical work, I lead the company’s business development, manage client relationships and oversee project planning and delivery.
As a business owner, I focus on developing the company’s services and building lasting partnerships with clients. I combine engineering design with on-site experience to deliver practical solutions and support more efficient energy use.
