• Inspiration and background: 

  Working in the field of local development has shown me that energy is not just a technical issue, but a driver of economic growth, environmental sustainability and community resilience. Participating in renewable energy initiatives, together with the cooperation that the Municipality of Kakanj has established with international partners in the energy transition process, has further motivated me to remain committed to implementing this and similar projects. I believe that, in this way, I can make a tangible contribution to creating lasting, positive change for my local community.

  I believe the biggest challenge for women in energy is not a lack of capability, but unequal access to opportunities, visibility and decision-making roles. Women still face stereotypes, limited representation in leadership, and fewer networking and mentoring opportunities. By creating inclusive policies, investing in education and showcasing successful women in the energy sector, we can encourage more women to enter, remain and advance in this field while strengthening the sector as a whole.

• Short biography:

  I am a development planning and local development professional with experience in local government, project management, information and communication technologies, stakeholder coordination and economic development. I currently work for the Municipality of Kakanj as a Senior Expert Associate for Development Planning and Local Development Management.

  I am experienced in planning and coordinating development-related activities, supporting local economic development initiatives, managing projects, and working with a diverse range of public institutions, businesses, development partners and other stakeholders. I have strong organisational, analytical, communication and coordination skills, complemented by a technical background in transport, communications and ICT.
