Energy Community Secretariat seeks Intern for Centre for Renewables Acceleration

The Energy Community Secretariat is seeking an Intern for the Centre for Renewables Acceleration, based in Vienna, Austria.
The internship is part of the project “Accelerating Renewable Energy Deployment and Just Transition in the Western Balkans: Energy Community Centre for Permitting and Planning,” funded by the Open Society Foundations for Albania.
Working under the supervision of the Senior Expert for Environmental Governance, Permitting and Planning and Centre Lead, and in coordination with the Project Management Unit, the intern will support the effective functioning of the Centre through assistance with project implementation, internal monitoring, technical information and data management, and stakeholder communication.
Candidates should be students or recent graduates in renewable energy, environmental sciences, geography, GIS, engineering, information management, project management, public administration or another relevant discipline. At least one year of relevant professional experience is required, along with experience in collecting, managing and reporting technical information and data. Experience working with public authorities or municipalities, familiarity with GIS software such as QGIS or ArcGIS, and experience in the Western Balkans or Energy Community Contracting Parties are considered assets.
The internship is based in Vienna, Austria, with a contract running until mid-December 2026. The intern will receive an all-inclusive stipend of EUR 1,855 per month. The expected start date is as soon as possible.
