Canada's total contribution to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund is now over 57 Million Euros

The Government of Canada has signed 12.417.347 million EUR to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, bringing its lifetime contribution to over EUR 57 million. The newly signed funds are already in the process of being allocated by the Fund – administered by the Energy Community Secretariat -- to repair and restore energy infrastructure across the country according to priority needs as identified by Ukraine's Ministry of Energy.
“After more than four years of full-scale war, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund has been able to sustain the pace and effectiveness of its support for Ukraine’s energy recovery in large part thanks to repeat contributions and continued donor trust, such as that demonstrated by the Government of Canada,” said Energy Community Secretariat Director Artur Lorkowski. “The Government of Canada’s contribution reflects both steadfast solidarity with the Ukrainian people and a clear recognition that supporting Ukraine’s energy system is essential to safeguarding energy security and stability across the wider region.”
The Ukraine Energy Support Fund has been supporting the defense and recovery of Ukraine’s energy system since the start of the full-scale war in 2022. Roughly 30% of the Fund’s total contributions (over EUR 600 million) have been received since November 2025 — a clear sign that, as Russia’s attacks have not relented, neither has the international community’s commitment to respond effectively.
To date under the Fund, over 1,000 supply contracts worth more than EUR 922 million have been signed, resulting in the reported delivery of over EUR 660 million euros worth of energy aid. This aid has been delivered to repair, restore, and strengthen very single sector of Ukraine's energy system, with the majority supporting electricity distribution and generation. It includes but is not limited to transformers, pipelines, cables, wires, and switchgear. Roughly 260 million euros worth of energy aid is currently en route to Ukraine through the Fund, and is expected to arrive before temperatures drop again.
