Vacancy: Head of Renewables Unit at the Energy Community Secretariat

The Energy Community Secretariat has opened a call for applications for the position of Head of Renewables Unit, based in Vienna, Austria.

The role will lead the Secretariat’s work on renewable energy policy development and implementation, supporting Contracting Parties in transposing and enforcing EU renewable energy legislation and advancing long-term decarbonisation objectives.

Candidates should have extensive experience in the energy sector, including a strong background in renewable energy policy and management. The position offers a three-year contract, renewable subject to conditions, with a tax-exempt salary of EUR 8,040 per month. The expected start date is February 2026, and applications are open until 11 January 2026.
