Ukraine launches solar PV and wind power auctions as part of efforts to strengthen energy security

Ukraine takes a major step toward a sustainable and resilient energy future with the launch of two renewable energy auctions.

The solar PV auction under the premium scheme for 33 MW of capacity, has a maximum bid price of 80 €/MWh and support guaranteed for 12 years. The deadline for submitting offers is March 12, 2025 at 20:00 o’clock.

The wind power auction for 100 MW of capacity with a maximum bid price of 80 €/MWh and a 12-year support guarantee, has April 3, 2025 at 20:00 o’clock deadline.

The Energy Community Secretariat acknowledges this important step and fully supports comprehensive reforms in Ukraine to advance its transition towards a more sustainable, decentralised and resilient energy system, in line with the 2030 targets committed under Ukraine’s National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP).
