The Energy Community Secretariat in collaboration with the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER), is hosting a two-day Regional Training on bringing self-Consumption regulation of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries in line with the European Union and Energy Community requirements.

This regional training is organised as part of the EU4Energy Programme  "Promoting the Clean Energy Transition in the Eastern Partnership Countries." It aims to bring together employees of energy regulatory authorities, line ministries, agencies, distribution system operators, suppliers and other stakeholders from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine. The primary objective is to enhance their knowledge about the EU and Energy Community requirements on self-consumption regulation, as well as contribute to the approximation of the national legislation in the EaP countries with the EU and Energy Community requirements.

The experts from EnCS and CEER delivered presentations on the Energy Community and EU best practices with regard to self-consumption, promotion of self-consumers and energy communities. Participants of the workshop will also have the opportunity to visit   Europeans largest and most innovative energy research project in Vienna – Aspern Smart City Research (ASCR) – and acquire practical knowledge on its operations.

Funded by the European Union, the EU4Energy programme is a collaborative effort between the Energy Community Secretariat, the Council of European Energy Regulators, and the International Energy Agency.
