Call for applications: Journalism workshop on communicating the energy transition

The Secretariat is committed to advancing the energy transition in the Energy Community Contracting Parties. Accurate and fact-based reporting on issues surrounding the energy transition as well as creating positive narratives are important factors in facilitating the social acceptance of the energy transition. To prepare journalists to cover the energy transition with greater knowledge and skill, the Energy Community Secretariat is now accepting applications for a journalism training workshop to be held on 14 December in Vienna.

A total of eighteen journalists, two per Energy Community Contracting Party, will be selected to participate and have their travel costs covered.

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

• Be a full-time journalist in one of the Contracting Parties of the Energy Community covering news on energy, environment or economy
• Provide the latest version of their CV and one work sample related to energy journalism
• Have proficiency in written and spoken English
