Gas_04B / North Macedonia - Greece Interconnector
Brief project description
The project consists of an interconnection between the gas transmission systems of Greece and North Macedonia, in two distinct parts that are going to be built and operated by the respective TSOs (DESFA and NER).
The project will allow North Macedonia to have a second source of supply that:
- will cover the forecasted increase of demand
- will bring competition in the gas market of the country for the fist time
- will ensure security of supply
The project will allow DESFA to increase the utilisation of its infrastructure, enabling, in this way, the reduction of the transportation tariff.
