Special edition of the Vienna Forum on European Energy Law sheds light on 2021 EU Gas Package

The Energy Community Secretariat, Florence School of Regulation and the College of Europe organized a webinar with Augustijn Van Haasteren, Team leader Decarbonisation and sustainability of energy sources at DG ENER, to discuss the Commission’s proposals for the hydrogen and decarbonized gas market package.

The new Gas Package, of key relevance also for the Energy Community Contracting Parties, reviews the Directive on the internal market in natural gas and the Regulation on access to gas transmission networks. It aims to bring the gas market in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal, integrating low-carbon and renewable gas into the network.
