Carbon pricing study proceeds to the next stage

The second workshop under the study on designing a carbon pricing mechanism for the Energy Community took place today.

The consultant, E3, presented the baseline scenario and key assumptions for possible policy options, to be tested through a modelling tool, as well as the underlying rational for designing the policy options.  The data for the baseline scenario are still not complete and all stakeholders were invited to submit the missing data in a week’s time.

The next workshop, planned in early September 2020, will present the outcome of the different scenarios together with proposals for policy options and recommendations.
