National secondary legislation

Bosnia and Herzegovina

Day of Accession
30 September 2006
Contracting Party

The Secretariat’s assessment of a Contracting Party’s compliance with the Energy Community acquis goes beyond the mere adoption of primary legislation. In many cases, it is the adoption of secondary legislation that ensures actual implementation.

This page displays the national energy legislation that Bosnia and Herzegovina has adopted to comply with its Treaty obligations. For each key provision of the Energy Community acquis, the tables below provide the corresponding reference to the national legal act transposing that key provision if adopted and provides other relevant details, such as the state of play of compliance. The national bodies responsible for drafting and adopting the relevant legal act are also displayed.

Due to Bosnia Herzegovina's constitutional framework, it is in some cases the entity ministries that are in charge of developing the legislation. When this is the case, e.g. for energy efficiency, the legislation in place is displayed separately for Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and for Republika Srpska.

Secondary legislation in relation to the Third Energy Package (gas and electricity) and the Oil Stocks is not displayed, as Bosnia and Herzegovina has not yet transposed the corresponding legal acts into its national legislation.
