From Vienna airportThe Vienna airport is located app. 30 minutes driving distance south east of the city centre. In order to commute between the airport and city centre, the traveller has the choice of four means of transportation.
When you get to the arrival hall, you need to reach level -1 for the connections with CAT and municipal train S-7. If you wish to continue your journey with a bus or taxi, look for the taxi rank and the bus station outside the airport terminal.

With half an hour service intervals, the City Airport Train transfers passenger from Wien Mitte to Vienna (Schwechat) airport in 16 minutes. The CAT operates daily from 05:38 to 23:35. Whilst the price of a one way ticket costs 8 €, a return ticket amounts to 15 €. |

In comparison to CAT, the municipal train offers a cheaper but somewhat lengthier alternative. The transfer time between Wien Mitte and the airport amounts to approx. 25 minutes. A ticket costs 3 € and includes public transportation within the city of Vienna. The S-7 train operates 24 hours per day. The service runs in half an hour intervals between 06.00 and 23.00. |

The Vienna Airport Lines offers three connections between the airport and Vienna city centre. If you wish to pay a visit at the Secretariat, you should opt for the connection to and from Morzinplatz. The ride between Morzinplatz and the airport takes about 20 minutes and the fare costs 6 €. |

Taxi rank can be found directly outside the airport. Inside the arrival hall there are taxi companies with fixed rate charges. The charge from the airport to the city centre of Vienna varies from 27 to 45 €. Please, be aware that not all taxies accept credit cards. |

Once in the centre of the city
If you arrive at Wien Mitte and wish to visit the Energy Community Secretariat, you should continue your journey with underground line U3. Get out at the third station, Herrengasse, and take exit Herrengasse. Take the narrow lane of Haarhof, walk past Nagelgasse until you reach the square of Am Hof. Turn left and walk along until you reach Am Hof 4. The walking distance between U3 station and the Secretariat does not add to more than 200 meters.
If you take a bus to Morzinplatz, you will have a walking distance of rough 400 meters to the Secretariat. Behind the bus stop you will find Marc Aurel Strasse. This will later give way for Tuchlauben. Keep on walking Tuchlauben until you reach Bognergasse on your right hand side. Walk 50 meters further along Bognergasse and you will have the Am Hof square on your right hand side.
