INSTITUTIONS & MEETINGS

The Energy Community process contributes to the economic regeneration and improvement of quality of life, giving people better opportunities. Further, it contributes to rebuilding trust and cooperation between governments and industries, and fosters stability across Europe. By working closely with their counterparts, the Energy Community stakeholders learn from each other and improve thereby their performance on the ground of the Energy Community Treaty requirements. Through examples of good practice, the stakeholders benefit from the experiences of others.

It was clear from the outset that the process must be tied in with a condensed institutional setting. The Treaty defines in detail the internal decision making mechanism and stresses the need to have accompanying platforms enabling discussions and exchange of information. This section presents the individual entities of the institutional setting, in which the Energy Community is embedded.

Attendance to the Energy Community meetings is subject to a nomination. The Secretariat invites organisations involved in the Energy Community process. These, in return, nominate a representative of their choice. The participants attend the events as a representative of their organisation.
