Pursuant to Article 20 of the Treaty, all the Contracting Parties agreed to draft implementation plans, describing the adaptation process of the acquis for renewables at national level. The Contracting Parties submitted the plans to the Secretariat in spring 2007. In its conclusions, the 5th PHLG took notice of the plans and stated the requirements of Articles 20 as fulfilled.
As regards structure, firstly actions related to the implementation of Directive 2001/77/EC are to be presented. The second part of the plans deals with the actions addressing the implementation of Directive 2003/30/EC on biofuels.
